Pre-clinical in vitro/in vivo pharmacology
Three cell culture rooms are intended for biological screening and in vitro pharmacological studies:
- two L1 laboratories
- One L2 laboratory
They are equipped with conventional microscopy tools (including two fluorescence microscopes) and multiwell plate readers for spectrophotometry (Multiskan MS, Labsystems) and fluorimetry/luminometry (Fluoroscan Ascent FL, Labsystems).
We also have a wide range of equipment at our disposal:
- a rodent whole body cryomicrotome
- Quantitative autoradiography
As far as the mechanistic aspect is concerned, we have:
- an RT-PCR system (transcriptomics)
- HRMAS NMR (metabolic)
We also have a conventional pet shop. The approval of the pet shop is valid until 2022 (D63-113-10).
The authorized animal species are rats, mice, guinea pigs, and rabbits.
The authorized areas of activity are basic research, efficacy or safety tests of medicines, other chemical substances, or biological products.
Before starting to implement an experimental protocol on animals, it is imperative that the person in charge of the study submits a referral document to the Regional Ethics Committee on Animal Experimentation, according to European directive 63/2010.
